Weekend in Paris
Last weekend I went to Paris. Well I almost didn’t since I ended up going to the emergency department on Thursday afternoon and they were plenty busy so I didn’t get home until half past one at night. I packed my luggage, went to bed for a bit more than two hours and headed to the airport. The trip went well without any hiccups, but as soon as I checked into the hotel, oneish, I went to bed to attain some level of saneness.
When I returned to life there were still a couple of hours of sun light. It was insanely pleasant with sun and ~12 degrees. I roamed the streets enjoying myself for a couple of hours. Met up with Aron and went to Notre-Dame, Louvre (outside only) and Champs-Élysées.
Saturday was overcast and raining on and off. The first target was Montmartre, which was just lovely, especially the piano bar. We roamed around for a bit and spent the evening at and around Centre Pompidou.
On the Sunday I went to Jardin du Luxembourg, roamed around a bit and managed to reach Tour Eiffel before it was time to head to the Airport.
All in all a very nice short break. And fortunately my body was nice enough and let me enjoy it without breaking down. I’m now on my second round of antibiotics which should take care of things.
My favourite picture is this one:
